The Integrated Marketing Strategy

I spent a few years helping my clients grow their business using social media. I helped their clients navigate their virtual space, learn more about the brand, and engaged with such passion that you would have thought I created each of these organizations myself. It was really my passion to watch their small businesses grow that was my driving force and that continues today, but so many times with my clients I found a part of their brand missing. 

They had a killer website and social media that was drawing in leads left and right, but the problem was the lack of strategy. Where were we leading these clients and what direction did, we want them to follow. While I could answer some of this as a social media manager, it requires a fully integrated strategy to truly make sure that you are spending time appropriately. For this reason, I shifted my business and I now offer marketing strategy. This often covers social media, but it goes far deeper than that. 

I now set aside time with my clients to learn about their business and together we help define their goals and focuses. From that information, we can create a thorough and strategic plan that encompasses all aspects of their marketing. We make sure that their message is loud and clear and directed at the right audience and that each platform shares the same feel and message. 

This unfortunately is what many small businesses lack. It is not that they haven’t found the right social media manager or that they aren’t spending enough time doing their own social media. The reason they are struggling to find success with their marketing is that they do not have the goals and strategy in place to guide the marketing efforts. It is absolutely necessary to know what you are trying to say, who you’re targeting with your marketing, and make sure that everything is tied together.
